[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jonghyo] Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the Future United Party, has announced his candidacy for a third term in the Haeundae-gap electoral district.

On the 19th, Ha held a press conference at the Busan City Council briefing room and stated, "For the past four years, I have run with the sole determination to rebuild conservatism," adding, "Finally, conservatism has been unified and the foundation for its reconstruction has been established. My determination to completely renew and revive conservatism remains unchanged and will continue moving forward," explaining his reason for running.

Ha criticized, "The three years under the Moon Jae-in administration were a nightmare our people had never experienced before," and said, "South Korea's economic growth rate hit its lowest in ten years, and national security was sheer incompetence." He continued, "Now, I intend to make Haeundae the base for judging the Moon Jae-in administration," emphasizing, "I will not only win the general election but also ensure a change of government."

He also highlighted that the 'Yoon Chang-ho Act,' which he spearheaded, has saved many lives, and that he succeeded in bringing the 'KTX Haeundae Station,' which many said was impossible.

Additionally, he announced the 'Haeundae-gu Global Education Special Zone' as his first pledge for the general election. To this end, he plans to introduce the International Baccalaureate (IB) exams and curriculum, which focus on discussion-based classes and creativity-centered evaluation, to Haeundae.

The International Baccalaureate is an educational institution established in 1968 based in Geneva, Switzerland. It offers three educational programs for students aged 3 to 19.
