[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seongbuk-gu (District Mayor Lee Seung-ro) signed an agreement on the 18th at Seongbuk-gu Office to open the attached parking lots with Haneulieum Church (Senior Pastor Lee Sang-il) located in Dongsomun-dong and Soseonyu Village to solve parking difficulties in urban residential areas.

Through this agreement, Seongbuk-gu aims to alleviate local parking shortages by sharing (opening) the unused parking spaces in the attached parking lots.

The advantage of the attached parking lot sharing project is that it is a win-win-win situation benefiting not only the parking lot users but also the building owners who provide the parking spaces and the autonomous district that connects them.

From the district's perspective, it can resolve residents' inconvenience due to lack of parking spaces, and users can use the shared parking lots at a stable and cheaper cost than the surrounding market price.

Also, from the building owners' standpoint, it helps improve and manage the parking lot environment.

In particular, Haneulieum Church decided to open 20 parking spaces free of charge to nearby residents, which has become a heartwarming story in the community.

District Mayor Lee Seung-ro said, “We are making various efforts, such as establishing public parking lots, to solve residents' inconveniences. However, it is a reality that it is difficult to meet everyone's demand. Sharing attached parking lots through this kind of sharing project can also be a solution, so we hope for much interest and participation.”
