[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Jang Hwikuk) has carried out the regular personnel appointments for educational public officials effective from the 1st of next month.
According to the Gwangju Office of Education on the 18th, this regular personnel appointment was conducted for 734 people across 21 job categories (687 transfers and 47 new appointments) in accordance with the 'Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Educational Public Officials Transfer Management Regulations.'
It included those who have completed their term after working more than four years at their affiliated institution (school), those who have worked more than one year at their current institution (school) and requested transfer, new appointees, and workers in job categories subject to staffing adjustments.
Since the authority for hiring was transferred to the superintendent in 2013, the regular personnel appointments conducted every March 1st have focused on placing personnel appropriately by considering individual preferences and living bases, enabling each person to maximize their capabilities and skills.
A representative of the Gwangju Office of Education stated, “This educational public official personnel appointment focused on placing talented individuals appropriately to realize future education where our children can nurture their unique dreams and talents,” adding, “We expect it to greatly contribute to establishing a Gwangju education support system that allows our children to dream of a better world.”
