Last year, 3 main office locations were established; this year, expanded to 27 locations across all towns, townships, and neighborhoods
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Yeosu City in Jeonnam Province will install emergency bells connected to the police station control room at 27 eup, myeon, and dong offices to ensure the safety of citizens using administrative services and civil complaint department staff in emergency situations.
According to Yeosu City on the 17th, emergency bells were first installed at three main office locations in September last year, and joint response training with the police station was completed. This year, the installation will be expanded to all 27 eup, myeon, and dong offices, which are the frontline of civil complaint administration.
The emergency bell is a two-way system linked with the police station that allows immediate police dispatch to the scene in case of special civil complaint situations such as assault or verbal abuse, preventing incidents in advance.
Once installed, the emergency bells will provide a safe working environment for employees working in civil complaint departments such as the city hall civil complaint office and eup, myeon, and dong community centers.
They also play a role in quickly and safely protecting citizens who come to handle civil complaint tasks from sudden threatening situations.
A city official said, “We will do our best to improve citizen satisfaction in the citizen-centered era by creating a safe civil complaint office environment where all visitors feel as comfortable as in their own home.”
Meanwhile, Yeosu City was selected as the top presidential excellent institution nationwide in last year’s comprehensive civil service evaluation, and is making every effort to improve courteous service by civil servants and to create a convenient and safe civil complaint office environment.
