[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jaehee] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Thailand has increased by one, bringing the total to 35.

According to major foreign media, the Thai Ministry of Public Health announced that a 60-year-old Chinese woman tested positive for the virus.

The woman is a family member of a previously confirmed Chinese patient, and all nine members of this family have been confirmed to have COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health stated that virus testing will be expanded to incoming travelers from Japan and Singapore, where the number of COVID-19 patients is increasing.
