[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced that from the 17th, it will conduct pre-event indoor disinfection at military-related event sites.
They are regularly patrolling 514 multi-use facilities frequently used by residents, such as senior citizen centers, terminals, and public restrooms, conducting spray disinfection using ultrafine particle disinfection devices.
In addition, comprehensive disinfection is being carried out at the county office, major tourist sites, and cultural and arts centers, and pre-disinfection of event venues will also be conducted for military-related events held within the jurisdiction.
Especially for small-scale restaurants and places where comprehensive disinfection is difficult, the health center is allocating disinfectant supplies so that residents can autonomously perform disinfection. If residents bring containers such as sprayers, they can receive disinfectant prepared according to the dilution ratio.
Along with this, thermal imaging cameras, previously installed only at screening medical institutions such as Haenam General Hospital and Haenam Woori General Hospital, have been expanded since the 12th to Haenam Korean Hospital, Woosuk Hospital, the entrance of the county office’s General Civil Affairs Division and Health Center Civil Affairs Office, the bus terminal, and the Wusuyeong passenger ferry terminal to check the body temperature of visitors.
The fever monitoring team distributes masks and provides consultation on-site if a person’s temperature is 37.5℃ or higher after temperature checks. If respiratory symptoms or abnormal signs are observed, they are immediately directed to visit the health center’s screening clinic or hospital for treatment. A mobile X-ray device has also been installed in the health center’s screening clinic.
By securing the mobile X-ray device, which is essential for confirming pneumonia in suspected infectious disease patients, the health center’s screening clinic can immediately determine whether a patient is subject to infectious disease management, enabling prompt response.
A Haenam-gun official urged, “When going out, please wear a mask and thoroughly maintain personal hygiene. If symptoms such as fever (37.5 degrees or higher) or cough occur, please consult the Disease Control Headquarters Call Center (1339) or the health center.”
