Candidate Kim Seon-woo Holds Launch Ceremony for "Hope Camp with Kim Seon-woo"

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Kim Seon-woo, a preliminary candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea (Damyang, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, Jangseong), announced that on February 16, volunteers supporting candidate Kim Seon-woo gathered at the campaign office to hold the launch ceremony of the "Hope Camp with Kim Seon-woo."

On this day, to ensure the safety of local residents due to the coronavirus, the opening ceremony originally scheduled for the 15th was postponed indefinitely, and campaign staff and volunteers from the four counties attended.

The volunteers gathered at this event met with regional headquarters chiefs responsible for the four counties and campaign office staff, exchanged greetings, and pledged to secure victory for candidate Kim Seon-woo in both the Democratic Party primary and the general election.

Meanwhile, Bong Maeng-gu, the head of the Jangseong regional headquarters, said, "I thank Chairman Han Seok-pil and Secretary Jeong Yu, as well as all the campaign office staff, for their hard work. I am doing my best to ensure the election of candidate Kim Seon-woo. I hope everyone present here will continue to give passionate support until the day Kim Seon-woo is elected as a member of the National Assembly."

Preliminary candidate Kim Seon-woo stated, "On a Sunday afternoon when the first snow was falling, about 200 volunteers from the four counties of Damyang, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, and Jangseong gathered to pledge a fair and exemplary primary as dignified Democratic Party members and to shout for victory with one heart. With your support and encouragement, I will definitely win the primary and be elected in the general election with the highest nationwide vote share."

Preliminary candidate Kim Seon-woo graduated from Korea University with a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting, served as president of SisaWeek, and as CEO of Munhwa Welfare Broadcasting/Newspaper. He has also been active as the central advisory chairman of the Good Neighbor Corporation, an advisor to the Korea Public Officials Labor Union Federation, and an advisor to the Democratic Party of Korea’s National Integration Committee.
