There is a brand that rejects the notion that "spending a lot of money makes you a VIP." It even challenges customers to prove the value of sports activities that "cannot be bought with money alone" by requiring them to pass a test. The recruitment test for the second term of SAC (SPYDER ATHLETIC CLUB), the VIP membership of the continuously innovative and groundbreaking sports brand Spyder, will begin on February 29.
At Spyder, VIP customers are not simply those who purchase many products. To become a VIP as defined by Spyder, one must choose one of three disciplines?training, cycling, or running?and achieve a record that meets or exceeds the passing criteria.
The passing criteria for the SAC test are ▲ running 2,000M within 7 minutes ▲ cycling 5 minutes at 4.5W/KG (power-to-weight ratio) or better ▲ training (10 pull-ups + 10 burpees + 10 toes-to-bar) within 1 minute 30 seconds.
A Spyder representative explained, “The running test is a top-tier standard in Korea, with only one person nationwide having passed.”
The greatest advantage of this “next-level” membership lies in the Training Day, which only members who have succeeded in the challenge can participate in. Unlike programs for the general public, seminars and lectures for SAC members have very high standards. SAC members, composed of professional athletes and trainers, share their know-how and conduct intensive training to improve their records. Additionally, members can challenge various sports disciplines through exclusive programs available only to membership holders at Spyder Gangnam, Apgujeong Athletic Centers, and more. The training activities of SAC members can be closely followed on social media through the hashtag “I’m in SAC (IMINSAC).”
Those who pass the SAC test are assigned a unique number and receive training wear that only SAC members can wear. The SAC 2nd term membership challenge will be held on February 29 at the Spyder Apgujeong Center, and detailed information can be found on the Spyder website.
