[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jewon] The average sale price of private apartments in Seoul has approached 26.8 million KRW per 3.3㎡ as of the end of last month. Compared to January last year, it has increased by about 1.72 million KRW in one year.


According to the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) on the 17th, the average sale price of private apartments in Seoul at the end of last month was 8.121 million KRW per ㎡. Calculated per 3.3㎡, this amounts to 26.7993 million KRW. This is a 2.09% increase compared to the previous month (25.55 million KRW) and a 6.85% increase compared to the same month last year (25.08 million KRW).


The average sale price of private apartments nationwide was 3.617 million KRW per ㎡, rising 0.79% from the previous month. In the metropolitan area, it was 5.543 million KRW per ㎡, up 1.09% from the previous month. Additionally, the five major metropolitan cities and Sejong City saw a 0.25% increase, while other provinces experienced a 1.10% rise.


The total number of newly supplied private apartment units nationwide was 2,106, a 74% decrease compared to 8,108 units in the same month last year.


The number of newly supplied units in the metropolitan area totaled 1,795, accounting for 85.2% of the nationwide supply this month, representing the largest share. There were no new supplies in the five major metropolitan cities and Sejong City, while other provinces had a total of 311 newly supplied units.
