[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] The quirky charm of Son Dambi and Jang Doyeon on 'I Live Alone' successfully captivated Friday night viewers.
The MBC entertainment program 'I Live Alone,' aired on the 14th, recorded ratings of 10.3% for Part 1 and 12.3% for Part 2 (according to Nielsen Korea), ranking first among Friday night entertainment programs.
In the broadcast, Jang Doyeon revealed a cultured daily life starting with her devoted care for her pet bean sprouts from the morning, along with reading books and newspapers. However, she soon caught attention by getting absorbed in TV more than the newspaper or suddenly writing her diary at super speed.
Meanwhile, she showed true parking ineptitude by getting stuck in a narrower-than-expected space while trying to park her car in a cafe parking lot, unable to move forward or backward and falling into confusion. Comedian Heo Anna and Lee Eunhyung stepped in as helpers, but in the end, she only boasted her unique skill of parking crookedly.
On the other hand, Son Dambi, who showed clumsy charm in her previous appearance, declared her escape from being clumsy and challenged herself with cooking. However, she brought laughter by showing precarious knife skills from the start, revealing her clumsiness in cooking as well.
She was also seen practicing dance for the first time in over 10 years to shoot a choreography video for her fans. Taking on Ariana Grande's '7 Rings' with a choreography instructor, Son Dambi quickly felt her physical limits and realized her joint movements were not like in her prime.
Nevertheless, she did not give up and immersed herself in choreography practice, showing her exceptional passion. Amid the intense practice, Son Dambi gradually began to regain her former sense, recovering her 'Dancing Queen' image and raising expectations for the final choreography video to be released.
The MBC entertainment program 'I Live Alone' airs every Friday night at 11:10 PM.
