[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the afternoon of the 14th, Lee Seong, the head of Guro District Office, conducted an on-site inspection to prevent COVID-19 infection.

Lee toured Namguro Market and the Garibong-dong area, listening to residents' opinions and encouraging the staff at the resident information centers.

To residents he met on site, Lee said, "Fortunately, there are no signs of community spread, and there have been no additional confirmed cases for four days, so there is no need to be overly fearful," adding, "The district office is concentrating all its efforts to ensure residents can live their daily lives with peace of mind."

Lee Seong also visited the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to check on its operations.

He thanked the staff, saying, "I sincerely appreciate your tireless efforts to prevent infections in the community," and urged, "Currently, special attention should be given to international students and labor market workers. Although there is only one Chinese international student in the area, please monitor carefully, and at the labor market, conduct thorough fever checks and prevention publicity activities without any gaps."
