At 9:23 a.m. on the 13th in the KOSDAQ market, Barunson was trading at 5,760 KRW, up 29.88% from the previous session. This marks the fourth consecutive day at the upper limit price. Barunson is where Barunson E&A, the production company of Parasite, is the largest shareholder. At the same time, Barunson E&A was trading at 4,290 KRW, up 12.45% from the previous session.

CJ ENM, the investment and distribution company of Parasite, was trading at 156,200 KRW, up 3.17% from the previous session.

'Parasite' won four major awards at this year's Academy Awards in the United States, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film. It was the first foreign-language film to win Best Picture and set a record as the third film in 64 years to win the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival and then win Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
