On the 11th, MBC Every1's 'Video Star' aired a special episode titled . Alongside Elly, actor Kim Jung-tae, Shim Ji-ho, and singer Yuk Joong-wan appeared.

MC Sandara Park introduced Elly, saying, "He first met his wife when he was 20 years old and at 24, he was the first idol boy group member to register his marriage with his wife."

During the broadcast, Elly revealed that after announcing his marriage, he repeatedly received threatening letters saying things like "You're not needed in U-KISS, leave."

Elly said, "I have my wife and child at home, and when I was active, I had my members, so even though it was hard, I couldn't give up."

He stated, "During times when work was scarce, I felt a sense of crisis as the head of the family," and revealed that after getting married, he worked delivering school meals.

He added, "I had no choice but to do work I had never tried before. I worked delivering school meals from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m.," and said, "It was tough, but it became a good experience."

During the broadcast, Elly showed the happy side of a family man as he smiled brightly while watching a video letter from his son, Minsu.

Elly married Ji Yeon-soo (40), a former racing model, in 2014. The couple welcomed their son Minsu in 2016, two years after their marriage.
