He continued, "To overcome the novel coronavirus, it is important to timely deliver credible information provided by the government so that the public can respond quickly and appropriately to the new infectious disease."
Chairman Han explained, "In particular, regarding the novel coronavirus, there is a concern that unverified fake news may spread, causing public distrust and anxiety," adding, "The government is actively responding to the production and distribution of fake news."
Furthermore, Chairman Han urged, "The media, including broadcasting, need to make efforts to correct public confusion through thorough verification such as fact-checking regarding unverified facts related to the new infectious disease."
