Temporary Closure of CGV Bucheon Station Branch Visited by 12th Confirmed COVID-19 Patient

CGV Bucheon Station branch confirmed that the twelfth domestic case of the novel coronavirus infection had visited, and temporarily closed on the 1st. CGV announced on its website that day, explaining the reason for the temporary closure and stating, “This is a proactive measure for customer safety, and we ask for your understanding.”


CGV Bucheon Station branch suspended operations from 6:30 PM on the same day immediately after confirming the confirmed patient's visit. By around 7:10 PM, all customers were asked to leave. CGV stated, “We are conducting self-disinfection at all branches in Bucheon to prepare for any possible situations.”


The exact date and time of the confirmed patient's visit were not disclosed. Regarding the reopening of business, they said, “It will be carried out according to future guidelines from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”


The twelfth confirmed case is a 49-year-old Chinese male. He had been staying in Japan as a tour guide and entered the country through Gimpo Airport on the 19th of last month. He tested positive for the novel coronavirus on that day and was isolated and hospitalized at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital.


The twelfth confirmed case also visited a relative’s house in Paldal-gu, Suwon City, using public transportation on the 24th of last month. Six relatives he met at that time were classified as contacts. Currently, four of them are self-isolating at home. Two showed fever symptoms and were tested at medical institutions but received negative results.
