[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] JTBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Itaewon Class' is being released today (31st) on the global entertainment streaming service Netflix.

In Asia including Korea, English-speaking regions, and Latin America, episodes will be available for viewing after each regular broadcast ends from today, while in Japan and other regions, all episodes will be released simultaneously on March 28.

'Itaewon Class' depicts a hip rebellion of youth united by stubbornness and audacity in an unfair world. Based on the webtoon of the same name, 'Itaewon Class' dynamically unfolds the startup legend of those pursuing freedom in the small streets of Itaewon.

Park Seojoon, returning to drama after 1 year and 6 months, plays Park Saeroyi, a straightforward young man living with burning anger in his heart. Kim Dami, a rising star who made a dazzling debut with the movie 'The Witch', takes on the role of Jo Yi-seo, a highly intelligent sociopath gifted with a god-given brain, marking her first challenge in drama.

'Itaewon Class' is the first drama produced by Showbox, which has presented films with both artistic value and popularity such as 'A Taxi Driver', 'Assassination', and 'Tunnel'.
