Dongjak-gu, 2020 Shared Promotion Support Project 추진

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Lee Chang-woo) is conducting a public contest for the ‘2020 Sharing Promotion Support Project’ until February 7 to spread a culture of sharing in residents' daily lives.

The eligible applicants are resident groups of three or more people within the region, non-profit organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises, social enterprises, and non-profit corporations.

The contest contents include ▲sharing spaces such as idle spaces and communal kitchens ▲sharing goods such as childcare items and school uniforms ▲sharing talents such as knowledge and experience ▲and other types of sharing.

The project period is from March to October, with a total support amount of 10 million KRW, providing up to 5 million KRW per project.

After the first review by the Sharing Promotion Committee and the second review by the Local Subsidy Deliberation Committee, 2 to 4 projects will be finally selected in March.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the Dongjak-gu Village Autonomy Center (149-1 Jangseungbaegi-ro) or by email (kts223@dongjak.go.kr).

For further inquiries, contact the Autonomous Administration Division (☎820-9130) for guidance.

Last year, the district supported and promoted sharing projects for three organizations: the Noryangjin 2-dong Village Planning Group’s ‘Masil~ Neighborhood Love Room,’ the Village Power Plant’s ‘Sharing Bookshelf Smart Library,’ and Donggeuri Village Net’s ‘Village Fence.’

Choi Hwan-bong, head of the Autonomous Administration Division, said, “Sharing projects, which are the most effective way to increase the utility of resources, are important mediators that connect not only people but also regions. We hope many will participate in this contest project that can restore the local community.”

The district operates the ‘Our Village Tool Rental Center’ at 13 community service centers, renting out over 50 types of household tools such as nippers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills at affordable prices, which received high response with 1,505 users last year.
