[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dong-jin Lee) announced on the 28th that it has launched an emergency response system to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community by holding an emergency countermeasure meeting chaired by the Dobong-gu Mayor.

The district has expanded the Novel Virus Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, led by Mayor Dong-jin Lee, and operates a Novel Coronavirus Infection Response Situation Room on the 6th floor of the public health center, maintaining a 24-hour work system.

Disinfection of multi-use facilities will be strengthened, and secured emergency supplies such as masks and hand sanitizers will be urgently provided to vulnerable groups, elderly welfare facilities, daycare centers, and public institutions.

In addition to promoting novel coronavirus prevention guidelines through the district’s promotional media such as the website, electronic display boards, blogs, and SNS, banners, posters, and leaflets will be urgently produced and distributed to the district office and 14 community service centers to promptly respond to public awareness.

The district urged residents to promptly contact 1339 (Disease Control Headquarters Call Center) or the public health center (Infectious Disease Response Situation Room ☏ 2091-4482, 2091-4489) if they have respiratory symptoms such as coughing.

Mayor Dong-jin Lee of Dobong-gu said, “As the novel coronavirus infection has been elevated to the alert stage and there is a possibility of spread, we hope that proactive measures such as establishing emergency quarantine plans at the district level will be swiftly implemented, and that everyone will do their best in prevention activities to prevent community spread.”
