Distribution of Masks and Hand Sanitizers to All Sales Branches for Customer Use
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) has swiftly taken action in the prevention campaign against the novel coronavirus infection known as 'Wuhan Pneumonia.'
On the 28th, Gwangju Bank announced that to respond quickly and actively to the spread of the novel coronavirus, it distributed 30,000 masks for customers to all branches and placed hand sanitizers at branch counters.
With the health authorities raising the infectious disease crisis alert level from 'caution' to 'warning,' and considering the considerable number of Chinese travelers through Muan International Airport as well as many Chinese workers in industrial and agricultural complexes, concerns about the spread of infection in the Gwangju and Jeonnam communities are growing.
Accordingly, Gwangju Bank urgently distributed masks to actively participate in the Wuhan Pneumonia prevention campaign, providing them to all customers visiting branches and placing hand sanitizers for use at branch counters.
Additionally, all branches posted notices containing prevention guidelines for the novel coronavirus infection, including ▲ washing hands thoroughly under running water for more than 30 seconds, including palms and under fingernails ▲ wearing masks when going out or visiting medical institutions ▲ covering coughs with sleeves ▲ frequently cleaning the nose ▲ informing medical staff about overseas travel history.
Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, said, “Concerns about the anxiety of local residents and the economic downturn in the region are increasing due to the spread of Wuhan Pneumonia infection. Gwangju Bank will fulfill its role as the representative bank of Gwangju and Jeonnam to overcome the difficulties facing our region together and protect the health of local residents.”
Meanwhile, Gwangju Bank plays a vital role as a refuge for the healthy lives of residents in Gwangju and Jeonnam by operating cooling shelters in summer and warming shelters in winter every year, providing free bottled water, fans, masks that filter fine dust, and portable hot packs.
