[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Changwon City (Mayor Heo Seong-mu) announced on the 28th that it will expand the 'Coronavirus Emergency Response Headquarters' as the crisis alert level for the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan Pneumonia) has been raised from 'Caution' to 'Alert'.

On the same day, the city held a 'Novel Coronavirus Countermeasure Situation Report Meeting' to review key initiatives and future plans. Previously, the city formed emergency response teams at the three public health centers in Changwon, Masan, and Jinhae, operating a 24-hour continuous emergency quarantine duty system. Additionally, seven screening clinics, including Changwon Gyeongsang National University Hospital, have been designated to prepare for suspected patient occurrences.

Furthermore, through close cooperation with medical institutions, the city is checking patients' overseas travel history to verify visits to Wuhan City, China, and is guiding that if suspicious symptoms are identified, they should promptly report to the public health center and the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency call center.
