Dongjak-gu, Professional Creator Training Project Promotion

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is promoting the ‘Professional Creator Training Project’ to create jobs for young people.

The ‘Professional Creator Training Project’ is a program aimed at training online marketing experts, where there is high demand among the youth and sustainable growth potential, and linking them to employment in private companies.

The district is first recruiting specialized institutions to carry out the project. Eligibility requires having an internal and external pool of experts to support trainee management and employment linkage, and the capability to provide video production and online marketing education.

The application period is from February 5 to 7, and the final results will be announced in March after evaluating feasibility and appropriateness of the project plan. The selected institutions will perform the tasks until the end of the year.

Institutions wishing to participate can download the related documents from the district website and submit them in person to the Dongjak-gu Office Job Policy Division.

Additionally, one general manager will be hired in February to ensure smooth project implementation. The general manager’s duties include monitoring and supporting the executing institutions, managing employment rates, and overseeing the educational environment.

Starting in March, 40 online marketing trainees will be recruited to receive customized job training within the first half of the year, followed by internship connections with hiring companies in July, and regular employment placement in private companies in September, progressing step by step..

Last April, the district opened the Youth Job Center in Noryangjin, a one-stop hub facility supporting youth employment, providing employment support services, job training programs, and employment counseling.

Over the past year, a total of 20,902 young people used the center, including 12,375 for employment support services such as study spaces and suit rentals, 4,599 for job training programs like mentoring and special lectures, 2,610 for employment counseling, and 1,318 for other services.

Jinhee Cho, Director of the Job Policy Division, said, “We hope for active participation from capable institutions and interested individuals in this project supporting the future of youth,” and added, “We will continue to strive to create demand-tailored jobs as the nation’s first vocational education special zone city.”
