According to Gurye-gun on the 27th, Gurye Jansu Nongak is a seasonal Nongak performed in Sinchon Village, Gurye-eup, and is a village Nongak that emphasizes ritual significance and local characteristics, held annually.
The event features the Dangsan Jeman Gut, a ritual performed while circling the five-directional Dangsan from New Year's Eve to early January, Madangbal-i to ward off household misfortune, and Panggut in which village residents participate.
In particular, the complete transmission of the chaegut melodies from Ilchae to Sibi-chae is preserved, and it is characterized by the combination of unique rhythms such as Dudunggengi, Doribaengbaeng, and Jijikkaengi, embodying the typical form of Honam village gut.
