Heavy Snow Warning in Central and Southern Gangwon... Up to 30cm of Snow

The Gangwon Regional Meteorological Administration issued a heavy snow advisory for the central and southern mountainous areas and Taebaek City at 3 p.m. on the 27th.

The Meteorological Administration stated, "Some areas in the mountains may accumulate a very large amount of snow until the day after tomorrow (29th), so please be especially cautious of safety accidents such as the collapse of vinyl greenhouses or weak structures," and added, "Please pay attention to traffic safety on mountain roads and bridges."

The current snow accumulation amounts are 1.6 cm at Guryongryeong and 0.5 cm at Daegwallyeong.

The Meteorological Administration forecasted that 10 to 30 cm of snow will fall mainly in the central and southern mountainous areas until the 28th.

In areas other than the mountains, rain or raindrops are expected.

A strong wind advisory was also issued for the plains of Samcheok and Donghae starting at 6 p.m. on the same day.
