The KBS Lunar New Year special airing on the 26th, '2020 National Singing Contest - The Return of the Legend' (National Singing Contest), features 13 participant teams who have been regarded as 'legends' by viewers over the past 40 years.
Performers include Greg Frickster, known as the 'foreigner who sings Korean songs better than Koreans,' Jung Jaehyun, called the 'legendary PC room employee,' Haldambi Ji Byeongsu, and Halminem Choi Byungjoo, who skillfully performed rap that even young people find difficult to sing.
The participants will also share updates on their lives and how their lives have changed after appearing on the 'National Singing Contest.'
Meanwhile, Lee Hoseop and announcer Lim will host the show as special MCs in place of Song Hae.
Earlier, Song Hae was reported to have been hospitalized on the 31st of last month due to sudden cold symptoms. Subsequently, he temporarily stepped away from the 'National Singing Contest' recording schedule and was discharged on the 13th.
Song Hae is expected to resume filming starting with the 'National Singing Contest' Hanam City episode scheduled for recording on February 15.
