Bang Si-hyuk, CEO of Big Hit Entertainment, which produced BTS, was named on the '2020 Billboard Power List.' The 'Power List,' announced by Billboard on the 23rd (local time), is a roster of influential figures in the global music market. It is selected across various sectors of the music industry, including management, concert planning, streaming, management, and distribution companies.

CEO Bang was included in the management category. Billboard noted, "BTS continued their global growth last year, becoming the first group since The Beatles to hold the number one spot on the 'Billboard 200' chart three times within a year," and praised Big Hit, led by CEO Bang, for diversifying its business amid explosive growth.

They reported, "Following BTS, they introduced the rookie group Tomorrow X Together, which reached number one on Billboard’s 'World Albums' chart, and also acquired Source Music, the label of the top-charting girl group GFriend." They added, "By launching the mobile game 'BTS World,' they recorded total sales of $172 million (approximately 200 billion KRW) in the first half of 2019 alone."

Meanwhile, Billboard selected Lucian Grainge, CEO of Universal Music Group, as the Executive of the Decade for the past ten years. Rob Stringer, chairman of Sony Music, and Daniel Ek, CEO of Spotify, were also named on the 'Power List.'
