'The Holidays Are Over'... Don't Miss January New Car Discount Offers

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The domestic completed car industry continues to offer various discount benefits even after the Lunar New Year. Some events end after January, so customers planning to purchase new cars are expected to hurry their purchases.

According to the automobile industry on the 27th, Hyundai Motor Company offers a 300,000 KRW discount benefit to customers who own old cars that are more than 10 years old. The benefit ends on the 31st of this month.

The eligible models include all popular vehicles: Avante, Ioniq HEV, Ioniq PHEV, Veloster, Veloster N, i30, Sonata (excluding HEV), Kona, Tucson, Santa Fe, and others.

Additionally, customers who apply for a G80 quality experience test drive will receive a 1,000,000 KRW discount benefit.

Along with this, when purchasing a Veloster, customers can receive either a 500,000 KRW discount or a 1% low-interest rate benefit, and for the i30, a 500,000 KRW support is provided. For the Genesis brand, the G70 offers a 2.5% low-interest rate, the G80 offers 1.25%, and the G90 offers 2.5% low-interest rates respectively.

Kia Motors also offers a 300,000 KRW discount to customers owning old cars over 10 years old when purchasing leisure vehicles (RVs). The eligible models exclude Kia's compact cars, electric vehicles, and Mohave, covering passenger and RV models.

Also, this month, Sorento buyers receive either a 1,000,000 KRW discount or a 1.0% smart low-interest installment plan (36 months) plus a 500,000 KRW purchase benefit. Sportage and Carnival offer either a 500,000 KRW discount or a 1.0% smart low-interest installment plan (36 months), and Morning and Ray provide either a 200,000 KRW discount or a 1.0% smart low-interest installment plan (36 months).

SsangYong Motor offers its own discount (1.5%, 3.5% for G4 Rexton) allowing purchases at reduced prices despite the January excise tax restoration.

Additionally, the first 2,020 customers receive up to a 7% discount on certain models. Customers owning vehicles older than 7 years receive a special purchase benefit of 300,000 KRW applicable to all models.

Renault Samsung offers a 500,000 KRW discount to customers purchasing the 2020 SM6 and THE NEW QM6 who own old cars over 10 years old. If the customer owns an old Renault Samsung vehicle, an additional 300,000 KRW is provided, allowing a maximum discount of 800,000 KRW.

Customers purchasing the 2020 SM6 GDe or LPe can choose between purchase support worth up to 2,500,000 KRW (options, accessories, warranty extension) or up to 2,000,000 KRW in cash support.

Furthermore, replacing an old car over 10 years old with an SM6 allows customers to enjoy a maximum purchase benefit of 3,300,000 KRW by combining the old car discount of up to 800,000 KRW and the 2,500,000 KRW purchase support.

Korea GM offers up to 60 months of full interest-free installment programs for 2019 production models or 2019 model year vehicles. In addition to interest-free installments, discounts on vehicle prices are provided: 10% for Malibu Diesel, 10% for Equinox, 10% for Camaro SS, 9% for Spark, and 8% for Trax.

Customers owning vehicles older than 7 years receive an additional 300,000 KRW benefit when purchasing Spark and Trax, and an additional 500,000 KRW when purchasing Malibu and Equinox. Moreover, customers purchasing Damas and Labo receive an additional 200,000 KRW benefit through a special promotion for business owners, supporting up to 700,000 KRW in total benefits.
