Call for Applications for Weekend Youth Clubs with 10+ Members and Youth Program Organizations... Selected Groups Receive Activity Funding from April to December... Apply by February 5
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) will operate the Saturday Experience School and support programs for out-of-school youth.
Guro-gu announced that it will support Saturday Experience School and weekend clubs for out-of-school youth to provide young people with opportunities for healthy leisure activities and career exploration. It plans to select youth clubs and organizations to participate in the programs and support them from April to December.
Eligibility includes youth weekend clubs within Guro-gu (with more than 10 members) or community organizations operating youth programs. Organizations aimed at profit-making activities, political party support, or religious propagation are excluded.
Activity fields are divided into performance, crafts/creation, and career experience. Clubs will receive support ranging from 1,000,000 to 1,400,000 KRW, and community organizations will receive 4,500,000 to 5,500,000 KRW per program.
Clubs and organizations wishing to participate should prepare the necessary documents and apply by visiting the Education Support Division of the district office (860-2222) or by mail by February 5.
Detailed information on application documents, methods, and project schedules can be found on the district office website.
Guro-gu will select supported clubs and organizations through the deliberation of the local subsidy review committee and notify the results in March along with the grant disbursement.
A Guro-gu official said, “We hope many clubs and organizations will show interest and participate in this program, which allows various experiences and hobbies during the weekend,” adding, “We will continue to prepare various programs to support the proper growth of youth.”
Guro-gu plans to hold a Saturday Experience School presentation in October in line with the Guro Youth Festival. The presentation will feature performances and experience booths from participating program groups.
