[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 23rd at 10:30 a.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the 'Peace Volunteer Group Haemo-eum Lunar New Year Love Rice Delivery Ceremony' held in the mayor's office.

This event was organized as the Peace Volunteer Group Haemo-eum agreed to donate 100 bags of 10kg white rice (worth approximately 3.5 million KRW) to low-income families.

The delivery ceremony proceeded with tea time, moving to the front gate of the district office, rice delivery, and commemorative photo session, attended by Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Ko Gomo-moknam, Chairman of the Peace Volunteer Group Haemo-eum, and Jung Jeong-ung, Head of the Seoul Branch of the Korea Atomic Bomb Victims Association.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, “The Peace Volunteer Group Haemo-eum, which participated in the sponsorship, is active in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, conducting various volunteer activities including support for the Korea Atomic Bomb Victims Association. We will ensure that the donations are properly delivered so that marginalized neighbors can spend the Lunar New Year warmly.”
