In the broadcast, the story depicted the meeting between Kim Tae-pyeong (played by Ok Taec-yeon), who sees the moment right before a person's death when looking into their eyes, and Detective Seo Jun-young (played by Lee Yeon-hee), who is the only one who cannot see Tae-pyeong's death.
Gu Do-gyeong (played by Lim Ju-hwan), who appears in Tae-pyeong's nightmare with a burned face, appeared in the drama's opening saying, "Lose the person you cherish the most, then you will understand."
Following this, Baek Seonsaeng (played by Jung Dong-hwan), who has the same ability as Tae-pyeong, Mrs. Jung (played by Ye Soo-jung), who tried to find out about her son's death, and her son Oh Seong-min (played by Yang Hyun-min) appeared, unfolding the early story of the drama.
Tae-pyeong became involved in the death of Seong-min, who was a gangster, and as the sole survivor, met with Detective Jun-young from the violent crimes unit.
Unlike other detectives he met at the police station, Tae-pyeong was curious because he could not see Jun-young's death. Jun-young also learned about Tae-pyeong's ability through Mrs. Jung, drawing viewers' attention to the connection between the two.
