CMES is a company that develops 5G solution technologies such as 3D sensors and 3D scanners.
According to the Ministry of Science and ICT, Vice Minister Jang conducted a mid-term review of the achievements of the 5G smart factory demonstration project through technology demonstrations such as moving objects using robots equipped with 3D cameras and remote on-site maintenance using augmented reality (AR). He also held a meeting with researchers and other stakeholders involved in the 5G smart factory to listen to on-site difficulties.
He stated, "Leading the 4th Industrial Revolution and establishing a solid foundation for our industry requires manufacturing innovation centered on small and medium-sized enterprises," emphasizing that, as part of this, he will actively promote the dissemination and expansion of 5G smart factories. He also announced plans to continue strengthening communication with the ICT industry field going forward.
