[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Namseon Aluminum, a theme stock related to former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon's potential candidacy in Seoul Jongno, is showing strength.
As of 10:31 a.m. on the 23rd, Namseon Aluminum was trading at 4,335 won, up 4.96% (205 won) from the previous trading day.
Namseon Aluminum, which manufactures and sells non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, is classified as a stock related to the former Prime Minister because Lee Gye-yeon, CEO of Samhwan Enterprise of the affiliated SM Group, is the younger brother of the former Prime Minister.
The day before, the Democratic Party officially proposed to the former Prime Minister the joint permanent co-chairmanship of the 4.15 general election campaign and candidacy for Seoul Jongno. The former Prime Minister responded that he would "positively consider the proposal from Democratic Party leader Lee Hae-chan," according to Chief Spokesperson Hong Ik-pyo.
