[Asia Economy Reporter Seol Seulgina] There is an essential service for customers traveling abroad during the Lunar New Year holiday. It is ‘baro Roaming,’ which allows free voice calls overseas if you are subscribed to a roaming plan.
‘Baro Roaming,’ available exclusively to SK Telecom customers, has firmly established itself as a national service, approaching 5 million users. Even customers who have already arrived at their overseas destination without knowing how to use ‘baro Roaming’ can easily enjoy roaming benefits by knowing a few simple tips.
According to tips released by SK Telecom on the 23rd, SK Telecom users can call the customer center 24/7 from overseas to receive guidance on subscribing to and using ‘baro Roaming.’ When abroad, call +82-2-6343-9000, and when in Korea, call 02-6343-9000. All calls are free of charge.
Next, it is necessary to check whether you are subscribed to a ‘baro’ plan. The ‘baro’ plans include baro 3/4/7GB, baro One Pass 300/500/Data VIP/VIP, among others. Subscribing to these plans enables free ‘baro Roaming’ voice calls. Calls from overseas to Korea and local calls within the overseas destination are all free of charge.
‘Baro Roaming’ voice calls can be made through the ‘T Phone’ application. When used domestically, ‘T Phone’ displays a green screen, but during ‘baro Roaming’ calls, the screen changes to blue. When abroad, launch the ‘T Phone’ app, confirm that the screen has turned blue, and then use voice calls.
Customers who prefer offline consultation can visit the SK Telecom Roaming Center at the airport before departure for detailed assistance.
SK Telecom is running the ‘Baro Roaming Awards’ promotion until the end of January. By visiting the event homepage (https://baro.t-event.co.kr/main/index.do) and participating in the promotion, you can receive various prizes.
All participating customers will receive Lotte Duty Free The Dream Points (USD 15/30) and a Scopi photobook soft cover. Customers who make at least one ‘baro Roaming’ call will be entered into a draw to win prizes such as ▲LG Gram laptop ▲Dyson Supersonic hairdryer ▲Philips air fryer ▲baro Roaming 3GB/7-day coupons.
