[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Park Seong-hyun) announced on the 23rd that it was consecutively selected as an excellent case in the 'National University Promotion Project Performance Forum' and the 'University Innovation Forum for Sustainable Development' during the Ministry of Education's financial support project.
At the '2nd National University Promotion Project Performance Forum' held on the 9th at Daegu EXCO Convention, the 'Mokpo Old Downtown Living Lab Project,' one of Mokpo Maritime University's network projects, was selected as an excellent case.
At the forum, about 300 people including members of 39 national universities participating in the promotion project, officials from the Ministry of Education, and the National Research Foundation attended, and Mokpo Maritime University presented the role of students in revitalizing the old downtown area through the excellent case presentation.
Furthermore, it achieved good results in the process of promoting government financial support projects, including being selected as an excellent case at the 'University Innovation Forum for Sustainable Development' held from the 16th to 17th at the BEXCO Convention Hall in Busan.
This forum, under the slogan "Sharing and spreading educational innovation project achievements, and university innovation for sustainable development," was attended by about 1,000 officials from 143 universities nationwide participating in the University Innovation Support Project. Choi Hyun-jun, Director of Planning (also head of the University Innovation Support Project Group), gave an excellent case presentation on the "Marine Community Level-Specific Specialized Education Operation."
The Marine Community Level-Specific Specialized Education is a student support system operated by the GPS Talent Education Center, which advanced the existing support system to build and operate a customized learning support service that allows all enrolled students to receive services tailored to their characteristics.
President Park Seong-hyun said, "Through various performance forums, we showed the goals, operation process, operation results, and achievements of the programs our university is promoting," and added, "We will continue to expand the programs by understanding the current demands of university students."
