Grand Korea Leisure Conducts Volunteer Activities for Lunar New Year in Seoul and Busan The GKL Dream and Hope Volunteer Group is making dumplings with the elderly at Suseo Myeonghwa Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The 'GKL Dream and Hope Volunteer Group,' composed of employees of Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), announced on the 22nd that they conducted volunteer activities at the Suseo Myeonghwa Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where the Seven Luck Casino is located, and at the Busanjin-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Busan ahead of the Lunar New Year.


At the Suseo Myeonghwa Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, about 20 members of the GKL volunteer group and approximately 150 elderly people gathered in groups to make dumplings and also held a talent show for the seniors. At the Busanjin-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, about 20 GKL volunteers delivered pre-prepared gift sets of rice cake soup for the ancestral rites to 100 low-income households in the district.


Yoo Tae-yeol, CEO of GKL, said, "We prepared a small token of kindness to give courage and comfort to neighbors who are lonely and isolated during the holiday season," adding, "We will continue to do our best to realize social value as a public enterprise."
