KT Hosts Tteokguk Sharing Event for Seollal Celebration

KT Sarang Volunteer Group employees held a rice cake soup sharing event for Imjado residents at the Imja-myeon Resident Welfare Center on the 22nd.

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] On the 22nd, KT announced that it held a rice cake soup sharing event with about 200 underprivileged people on Imjado Island, the northernmost island of Shinan-gun, Dadohae, Jeollanam-do, to celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday.

KT Love Volunteer Group promoted sharing events for the underprivileged this Lunar New Year, conducting rice sharing activities not only on Imjado but also for elderly living alone in Cheonghak-dong, Jirisan, Gyeongsangnam-do.

Since 2014, KT has maintained a relationship with the residents of Imjado through its social contribution activity 'Giga Story,' which aims to bridge the digital divide in underprivileged areas nationwide.
