The Korea Standards Association Awards 'ISO45001 Certification' to Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Standards Association (President Lee Sang-jin) announced on the 22nd that it has awarded the Safety and Health Management System (ISO 45001) certification to Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation (President Oh Kyung-soo). ISO 45001 is an international standard officially established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in March 2018 to systematically manage corporate profit generation and employee safety. The Standards Association is an ISO 45001 certification body officially registered with the Korea Accreditation Board (KAB).

At the Jeju Samdasoo business site of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation, the management policy of "prioritizing safety and health in corporate activities" was declared, and various activities such as risk assessments involving the entire company, operation of the Safety and Health Committee, and Safety and Health Council have been carried out to introduce and establish the safety and health management system. A representative from the Standards Association stated, "By obtaining the ISO 45001 Safety and Health Management System certification, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation now has globally effective processes and management standards to reduce workplace accidents and illnesses."
