Jeonnam Police Share Love with Socially Marginalized Groups for Lunar New Year Holiday

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 21st, the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency visited the group home "Mokpo Woorijip (Director Seo Jeongsuk)" located in Sanjeong-dong, Mokpo City, together with its employees to deliver consolation goods and participate in facility maintenance, spending meaningful time with the welfare facility family.

This volunteer activity was organized to spread a culture of sharing love in the local community during the Lunar New Year holiday and to practice warm interest and care for socially vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.

Kim Jincheon, head of the Information Division, stated, "Ahead of Seol, the greatest holiday of our nation, visiting neighbors in need and sharing warm affection is an important duty of the police," adding, "We will continue to practice inspiring community policing by treating residents like family and dedicating ourselves wholeheartedly."

"Mokpo Woorijip" is a welfare facility that protects and supports children aged 6 to 18 who are experiencing difficulties; currently, 7 residents and 4 staff members live together.

Meanwhile, the Jeonnam police have continued volunteer activities for neighbors in need every year before holidays, such as visiting and volunteering at the "Diakonia" nursing home in Muan during the 2019 Chuseok holiday.
