[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Center for Engineering Education Innovation at Mokpo National University (President Park Min-seo), led by Director Kim Seong-hwan, announced on the 21st that from the 17th to the 19th, it held the Honam-Jeju Region National Universities Engineering Education Student Leader Capacity Camp at the Jeju Kensington Resort (co-hosted by Gunsan National University, Mokpo National University, Suncheon National University, Chonnam National University, Jeonbuk National University, and Jeju National University).


This program was held with the purpose of discovering sustainable win-win development projects and revitalizing network projects through joint initiatives among national universities in the Honam-Jeju region. It included discussions on the operation plans for joint student exchange projects among national universities and the selection of student officers for engineering colleges.


Moon Seon-pil, the newly appointed student president of the College of Engineering at Mokpo National University (3rd year, Department of Information Security), who introduced the College of Engineering at Mokpo National University, said, “Through the regular exchange and capacity camp among engineering students of national universities in the Honam-Jeju region, we were able to share the achievements of each university’s engineering college, strengthen feedback, and discuss mutual exchange programs. It was a meaningful occasion.”


Director Kim Seong-hwan stated, “Based on the achievements of the joint engineering education innovation center network project among national universities in the Honam-Jeju region, we plan to continuously support regular student exchanges and mutual exchange education programs (competitions, excellent achievement presentations, exchange workshops, etc.) with participating universities.”
