[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 15th, in Jeongneung 2-dong, Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro), an event was held where the members of Baekho Lions Club gathered their sincerity to deliver rice and ramen to 13 senior centers in Jeongneung 2-dong.
Despite the severe cold, members of Baekho Lions Club (President Yoo Soon-geum) visited the senior centers, delivered sponsored goods, and shared the vigorous energy of the New Year and warm affection (jeong) with the elderly.
President Yoo Soon-geum said, “We prepared with heartfelt care so that the elderly can spend a warm winter, and we will continue sharing activities steadily to help the community in the future.”
Jo Sung-jin, head of Jeongneung 2-dong, expressed gratitude for the support, saying, “The sight of local elderly and neighbors sitting together looks like a harmonious big family scene,” and thanked for helping to sustain a village full of jeong.
Jeongneung 2-dong will continue efforts to closely observe and connect neighbors in need of help and sharing in the future.
