[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sun-hee] President Moon Jae-in will preside over the first senior secretaries and aides meeting of the year at the Blue House on the afternoon of the 20th. With the Lunar New Year holiday approaching, he is expected to emphasize the new year's 'economic vitality' along with urging attention to the people's livelihood economy and safety.

The senior secretaries and aides meeting, which President Moon usually holds every Monday, will be held for the first time this year on this day. It was not held on the 6th and 13th due to schedules such as the New Year's address (on the 7th) and the New Year's press conference (on the 14th), respectively.

At the meeting, with key aides of the Blue House Secretariat in attendance, a message focusing on economic revitalization measures to achieve the 'definite results' emphasized by President Moon is expected to be delivered. However, it is anticipated that there will be no mention of current issues such as inter-Korean economic cooperation or reform of power institutions.

Meanwhile, before the senior secretaries and aides meeting, President Moon will have a weekly luncheon meeting with newly appointed Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun at the Blue House. This continues the tradition of weekly meetings held with former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon since his inauguration. In this weekly meeting, where the number of attendees is strictly limited, President Moon and Prime Minister Chung are expected to exchange opinions on major national affairs. President Moon is likely to entrust Prime Minister Chung with responsibility for cabinet management as a 'responsible prime minister' and ask for a fitting role.

President Moon also showed support by stating at the first ministry briefing session of the year on the 16th, "From now on, Prime Minister Chung will give the closing remarks at all government reports."
