Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Accepts Nominations for Meritorious Persons Dedicated to Supporting 'Diverse Families'

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 20th that it is accepting nominations for meritorious candidates who have dedicated themselves to promoting various family welfare initiatives.

This merit award will be presented in May to commemorate Family Month, and recommendation letters can be submitted by mail or email until February 19.

The candidates include individuals and organizations who have worked for at least two years to support diverse families, improve systems and awareness, and promote an equal and democratic family culture. Once nominated, candidates undergo public verification and merit evaluation before being finalized as award recipients.

Lee Jeongshim, Director of Family Policy, said, "We hope many people will actively recommend candidates so that our families can have opportunities to pursue their dreams without social discrimination."
