[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actor Kim Soo-hyun made a special appearance in the tvN weekend drama 'Crash Landing on You.'
In episode 10 of 'Crash Landing on You,' which aired on the 19th, members of the North Korean General Political Bureau were shown searching for their superior, Ri Jeong-hyeok (played by Hyun Bin). In the epilogue of the episode, Ri Choong-ryeol (played by Jeon Guk-hwan), head of the North Korean General Political Bureau, secretly gave orders to the members of the 5th company and Jeong Man-bok (played by Kim Young-min).
Ri Jeong-hyeok said, "My son and your superior, Jeong-hyeok, has defected to the South. As Ri Jeong-hyeok's father, I have come to make a special request. Bring our Jeong-hyeok back."
Just as the members who came down south and Jeong Man-bok were about to carry out their mission, Dong-gu (played by Kim Soo-hyun) appeared and said, "Everyone, relax a bit. How long have you been in the South?" adding to the surprise.
Dong-gu is the role Kim Soo-hyun played in the film 'Secretly, Greatly,' which was loved by 6.95 million viewers.
In the broadcast that day, he said, "You know, I came here quite a bit earlier than you comrades, but since no orders have come down, I have been waiting for a long time. Let's just say that. This place is where people live too. Don't be too afraid," offering advice.
It is known that Kim Soo-hyun decided to make a special appearance due to his connection with writer Park Ji-eun, who wrote 'Crash Landing on You' and previously worked with him on 'My Love from the Star.'
Kim Soo-hyun completed his military service and was discharged in July last year. After his discharge, he made special appearances in dramas such as 'Hotel Del Luna,' announcing his return to the public.
He is scheduled to make a comeback this year with a new work, 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay.'
