[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] Singer Lee Hyori is reported to have purchased a building in Hannam-dong together with her husband Lee Sangsoon.

According to 'Money Today' on the 17th, the couple Lee Hyori and Lee Sangsoon bought a building worth around 5 billion KRW in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, last October.

The building has a land area of 187.40㎡ (56.69 pyeong) and a total floor area of 470㎡ (142.06 pyeong), consisting of a basement floor and four above-ground floors. It was completed in 1998 and remodeled in 2016.

Notably, the building is located between Itaewon Station and Hangangjin Station, placing it at the center of the commercial district. This area is also known for frequent real estate investments by celebrities such as singer Jang Donggun and Psy.

The couple reportedly purchased the building for 5.82 billion KRW, of which 1.02 billion KRW was financed through a loan.

When acquiring the building, Lee Hyori registered it jointly with her husband Lee Sangsoon, with Lee Hyori holding a 69% stake and Lee Sangsoon holding 31%.

Previously, Lee Hyori sold three houses over the past three years, totaling real estate assets worth 7.3 billion KRW. The Jeju house featured on the JTBC variety show 'Hyori's Homestay' was sold to JTBC for 1.43 billion KRW, and the residential-commercial complex apartment in Samseong-dong, Seoul, was sold for 2.1 billion KRW.

In March last year, she also sold a house in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, which she had owned for over ten years, to a corporation for 3.8 billion KRW.
