[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) announced on the 18th that it conducted the 'KNOC Petroleum and Gas Development Special Practical Training' for students majoring in resource development in collaboration with the Overseas Resources Development Association on the 17th.


This training was organized as part of an industry-academia cooperation project to enhance the practical skills of students majoring in resource development.


KNOC and the Overseas Resources Development Association planned this program starting in October last year. They selected 20 undergraduate and graduate students majoring in resource development from 16 domestic universities and conducted the training at KNOC headquarters in Ulsan from the 13th to the 17th.


The training included expert lectures on understanding the petroleum industry, petroleum and the world, understanding petroleum development, and understanding stockpiling projects, as well as field visits to the underground caverns construction site at the Ulsan Petroleum Stockpiling Base and the gas field operations office.


During the meeting with seniors, discussions were held regarding career exploration and improving employment capabilities.
