[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) Competency Development Education Center will hold the '4th Industrial Revolution Core Technology Conference' on the 21st at the Seoul Dragon City Convention Tower, with over 400 participants including vocational training teachers and instructors, and specialized vocational high school teachers.
This conference, held to strengthen the capabilities of teachers and educators and to expand new technology and convergence curricula in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, will also be attended by key external figures such as Kim Hak-yong, Chairman of the National Assembly Environment and Labor Committee, and Lim Seo-jung, Vice Minister of Employment and Labor.
In the morning, Won Kwang-yeon, Chairman of the National Research Council of Science & Technology, will deliver a keynote speech on "TechEdu 4.0: Science and Technology Education in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution," and Lee Ki-kwon, Visiting Professor at Inha University, will give a keynote on "Labor Market and Vocational Training in the Phonosapiens Era."
In the afternoon, six tracks in the field of 4th Industrial Revolution technologies will be conducted. Each track will feature two presentations by domestic and international experts from industry, academia, research, and government who can suggest future technology directions and industrial change trends, along with presentations of excellent curriculum operation cases in each 4th Industrial Revolution field.
President Lee Seong-gi stated, "Our university is leading lifelong vocational competency development for students and workers through cutting-edge education and training facilities, including the world's first 5G-based smart learning factory," and added, "Through this conference, we will further advance as the nation's top educational institution leading the 4th Industrial Revolution."
