Busan City Invests 103 Billion Won in Informatization Projects

On the 22nd, the '2020 Busan City Scheduled IT Projects Briefing Session' Held

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Yoseop] Busan City will invest 103 billion KRW in informatization projects.


Busan City announced on the 17th that it will hold the '2020 Scheduled Informatization Projects Briefing Session' at 2 p.m. on the 22nd in the International Conference Hall on the 12th floor of Busan City Hall.


This year, Busan City will invest 103 billion KRW in about 460 projects, including 7.3 billion KRW for 73 projects at the headquarters and business offices, 16 billion KRW for 263 projects in districts and counties, 5 billion KRW for 44 projects in public corporations and foundations, and 63 billion KRW for about 80 projects in investment and contribution institutions and public institutions relocated to Busan.


The major projects this year include big data analysis of data-based tourism, commercial districts, and urban changes; construction of smart intersection intelligent transportation system (ITS); establishment of next-generation integrated information system for enterprise resource planning (ERP); construction of intelligent video analysis system for CCTV; and development of the Busan Culture Portal website.


The briefing session is open to anyone, including citizens and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) company representatives. The city, districts and counties, local public corporations and foundations, and public institutions relocated to Busan will provide information on project orders, related regulations, and precautions regarding this year's informatization projects.


The briefing session will proceed in the order of ▲ introduction of Busan City's informatization policy goals and promotion directions ▲ list of scheduled informatization projects and major project guidance ▲ detailed explanation by project managers for projects with budgets over 300 million KRW ▲ Q&A session. In particular, a one-on-one communication corner between institution project managers and companies will be set up to exchange various opinions and listen to difficulties faced by local companies.


Hong Su-im, Busan City's Informatization Officer, said, "We aim to cooperate with public institutions to encourage more institutions to participate and expand opportunities for local ICT companies to participate, thereby contributing to revitalizing the local economy," adding, "We will hold regular briefing sessions every year to support the ICT industry."
