Guro-gu Operates VR Experience Program

'Smart Guro Promotion Center' Open Weekdays from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is operating a ‘VR (Virtual Reality) Experience Program’.

On the 17th, Guro-gu announced that it will provide a VR experience program to give residents the opportunity to directly experience advanced technology and to widely promote ‘Smart City Guro’.

The ‘VR Experience Program’ will be held at the ‘Smart Guro Promotion Center’ located at Sindorim Station.

The experience content consists of 19 programs including ▶ earthquake and typhoon response training ▶ fire extinguisher and defibrillator usage ▶ relaxation in nature and exploration of the polar regions and deep sea ▶ 3D drawing ▶ crime case solving, etc. The district plans to select two types of content among these and operate them on a rotating basis to allow for a more diverse experience.

Anyone regardless of age or gender can participate, and visitors can come to the promotion center from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays.

At the ‘Smart Guro Promotion Center’ where this program is operated, various smart city projects promoted by Guro-gu can also be explored. The promotion center, opened in September last year, is equipped with a smart city citizen situation room, digital twin, gate vision, smart office, digital gallery, and more.

It operates from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and can be used without a separate reservation.

A Guro-gu official said, “We hope many people visit the Smart Guro Promotion Center to enjoy the VR experience and see the future city’s appearance,” adding, “We will do our best to create a smart city that residents can feel.”
