Gokseong-gun Offers 10% Discount on Environmental Improvement Charges for Annual Prepayment

The annual payment application for the environmental improvement charge is a system implemented to reduce the payment burden on payers and to increase voluntary payment awareness. It is a method of paying the full amount of the environmental improvement charge, which is paid twice a year in March and September, in January and receiving a 10% discount.

The calculation period for this annual payment is from July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020, and vehicles that have been scrapped or have had ownership or address (in another region) changes or are scheduled to change during the period are excluded from the application.

Annual payment applications can be made by visiting or calling the Environmental Livestock Division of Gokseong-gun. Applications can also be made through WETAX, the local tax electronic payment system.

After completing the application, when paying the environmental improvement charge, you can use cash deposit/withdrawal machines (CD/ATM) at banks nationwide, Internet Giro, virtual accounts, WETAX, credit cards, etc. If you apply for annual payment but fail to pay by the deadline of January 31, the annual payment application will be automatically canceled.
