'The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross' and 'Blade & Soul Revolution' First Revealed in Taiwan
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Netmarble announced on the 16th that it will participate in the '2020 Taipei Game Show' held in Taipei, Taiwan from the 6th to the 9th of next month, unveiling two major titles, 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross' and 'Blade & Soul Revolution,' to the Taiwanese market for the first time.
Started in 2003, the Taipei Game Show is Taiwan's largest game exhibition, marking its 18th edition this year. At this event, Netmarble plans to showcase 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross' and 'Blade & Soul Revolution,' which are scheduled for global release in the first quarter and first half of this year, respectively.
'The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross,' released in Korea and Japan in June last year, achieved success by topping the app store sales rankings in both countries with its graphics that recreate the original work's atmosphere, a differentiated combat system, and spectacular special move effects reminiscent of animation. The game is planned to be released in over 175 countries excluding Korea, Japan, and some others, supporting 13 languages. Global pre-registration, including Taiwan, is underway, with the exact release date to be announced later.
'Blade & Soul Revolution' reproduces the art style of the original 'Blade & Soul' with high-quality 3D graphics and implements the unique combo skills and counterattack-centered control system for easy mobile play. The game achieved first place in Apple App Store sales and second place in Google Play sales on its release day. It is planned to be launched globally within the first half of this year.
In addition to these two major titles exhibited at this event, Netmarble is currently conducting global pre-registration for the mobile real-time strategy game 'Magic: ManaStrike' scheduled for release this year, and will hold a domestic showcase for 'A3: Still Alive' on the 22nd. Furthermore, development is being accelerated for titles revealed at last year's G-Star, including 'Seven Knights 2,' 'Seven Knights Revolution,' and 'The Second Country: Cross Worlds.'
