One Beverage, Five Food Items, and Six MD Products Released in Collaboration with BTS
Part of the Sales Proceeds Donated to 'Beautiful Foundation' Supporting Youth Independence Project
'Make It Right' by BTS Played at Starbucks Stores Nationwide During Campaign Period
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Starbucks Coffee Korea announced on the 16th that from the 21st to February 6th, it will launch a new lineup including one purple-colored beverage, five food items, and six MD products in collaboration with BTS, and will carry out a campaign supporting the dreams of Korean youth.
Starbucks, which has been running a New Year promotion under the theme ‘Be the Brightest Stars’ since the 1st, plans to deliver a message of empathy and hope to the youth, the future of Korea, through collaboration with BTS, who have been spreading positive influence across society.
During the campaign season, Starbucks will donate a portion of the sales revenue from the BTS collaboration items to establish a fund supporting the ‘Youth Independence Project’ in partnership with the Beautiful Foundation.
Following the MOU agreement signed on the 8th with the Beautiful Foundation to support youth aging out of protective facilities who must become independent, Starbucks plans to accelerate its differentiated youth support projects through the ‘Be the Brightest Stars’ campaign.
The campaign features various purple-colored products symbolizing a starlit night sky, including the ‘Blooming Purple Bangsso’. The ‘Blooming Purple Bangsso’ is a mulled wine beverage enjoyed with grape juice and fruits, subtly scented with elderflower, carrying a message of encouragement to warm and comfort Korea’s youth who shine like stars, just like the warm mulled wine.
Along with this, five vibrant-colored collaboration foods with BTS will be introduced, including ‘Blueberry Star Macaron’, ‘Purple Berry Cheesecake’, and ‘Purple Star Cupcake’. From the 21st, customers who purchase two of the five collaboration food items, including either the ‘Purple Berry Cheesecake’ or the ‘Purple Star Cupcake’, will receive a BTS logo-shaped candle on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additionally, six BTS collaboration MD products will be released, including one mug designed luxuriously with real gold, two glasses, two pouches that can hold tablets and laptops, and one keychain in a tin case.
During the season, stylish sleeves and shopping bags featuring the combined logos of BTS and Starbucks will also be available. Both the shopping bags and sleeves will be offered in limited quantities, with shopping bags provided only to customers who purchase BTS collaboration MD products.
Notably, during the collaboration season, BTS’s song ‘Make It Right’ from the album ‘MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA’ will be played in Starbucks stores nationwide, allowing customers to experience the collaboration season with BTS through music as well.
